Getting to Guards Polo Club

By Car

Leave the M25 at junction 13. Take the A30 towards Basingstoke and Camberley. Opposite Wentworth Golf Club, turn right onto the A329. After 1 mile turn right into Blacknest Gate Road. Blacknest Gate (sat nav code SL5 7SA) is 100 yards on the right. Pass through the gates and follow the road through Windsor Great Park for 1 mile where Guards Polo Club will be found on the right.

On Ticketed Event days, taxis will be allowed to drop off spectators at a designated taxi turning point - without needing a Car Pass. There will be a short walk to the Club House from the taxi area.

From Heathrow Airport

A taxi will take approximately 20 minutes. Please ensure the driver knows the sat nav code - SL5 7SA - to ensure arrival at the correct entrance to Windsor Great Park.

From Gatwick Airport

A taxi will take approximately 2 hours. Please ensure the driver knows the sat nav code - SL5 7SA - to ensure arrival at the correct entrance to Windsor Great Park.

Trains from Waterloo to Reading offer the closest stops to Guards Polo Club.

Regular taxi services from:

  • Egham - approximately 15 minutes

Tickets

  • Please ensure your party has the relevant car passes before arriving at any event
  • Guards Polo Club does not recommend purchase of tickets from an unofficial agent
  • Please check your tickets carefully as mistakes cannot always be rectified
  • Please look after your tickets as duplicates cannot be issued
  • No access to grandstand seating or the Clubhouse without the correct tickets or members' badges
  • No monies can be refunded under any circumstances
  • A seat ticket is required for each child, however small babies under 2 years of age may sit on your lap
  • Ticket holders consent to the photographing, recording and filming of themselves as event attendees
  • There is no access to and from the stands during play
  • All seating is allocated for the Cartier Queen's Cup Final - parties wishing to sit together must book their tickets together
  • Each car park pass entitles you to a space behind your vehicle in which you may have a picnic (BBQs are not allowed). It is not possible to block book these spaces. All car park passes are for vehicles - you cannot purchase a car pass in order to host hospitality in this area
  • We will start posting out tickets 3 weeks before the event. For bookings made up to 7 days before the event your tickets will be posted..Tickets purchased less than 7 days before the event will be available for collection from our onsite ticket office

  • All Areas: Smart Casual
  • Clubhouse: Gentlemen - Collared shirts with trousers, chinos or smart jeans. Smart shorts to the knee
  • Clubhouse: Ladies - Dresses, skirts, trousers, smart shorts to the knee or smart jeans. Sandals are permitted for ladies only
  • No beach attire or rubber flip flops
  • Polo attire is allowed for Guards Polo Club's own players or visiting teams who have matches on that day
  • Royal Box: Gentlemen - Collared shirts and ties, lounge suits, jackets or blazers with trousers or chinos
  • Royal Box: Ladies - Dresses, skirts or tailored trousers
  • Members/Formal Lunches: Gentlemen - Collared shirts, trousers and jackets
  • Members/Formal Lunches: Ladies - Dresses, skirts, tailored trousers
  • Please note all grandstand seating is outdoors and uncovered. Car parks and outdoor areas are mainly on grass, so please dress appropriately for the weather

Food

  • Members can pre-book tables in the Members' Restaurant. Please call 01784 635400
  • Members and non-members can purchase bespoke Clubhouse Hospitality on our Ticketed Event days. Please email our Events team events@guardspoloclub.com
  • There will be a mobile catering unit, Clara's Cocina, on the north side of Smith's Lawn, open to everyone throughout the season while polo is being played. An array of hot food, and hot and cold drinks will be served here.
  • Mobile catering units are available to all ticket holders on our Ticketed Events days. They will be located behind the Clubhouse Grandstand
  • Spectators are welcome to bring their own food and drink to any event at Guards Polo Club. At major events spectators may wish to picnic alongside their car in the grassy car parks. Please note no glasses or glass bottles are allowed in the grandstands
  • BBQs are NOT permitted anywhere at Smith's Lawn due to the damage they may cause to our grounds

Club Information

  • Members and their guests must have their badges visible at all times while at Smith's Lawn and Flemish Farm
  • Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and NO DOGS, except guide dogs, are permitted in the grandstands, Clubhouse Restaurant, Bar or Royal Box. We do NOT recommend bringing dogs to the Cartier Queen's Cup Final
  • Children must be supervised at all times while at Guards Polo Club by a parent or guardian and are not allowed in the pony lines at any time
  • Guards Polo Club reserves the right to refuse admission or remove ticket holders without giving a reason
  • Car Parking is mainly on grass, and on ticketed event days may be a 5-10 minute walk from the Club
  • Cancellation of an event will only take place if extreme circumstances make it unsafe to play. This will be announced on the website and via our social media
  • Guards Polo Club is a private members club, however, on selected dates throughout the season we hold Ticketed Events which non-members can also attend. Dates for 2022 are below, click here for more information about each event.

Disabled Spectators

Disabled spectators are asked to display their government issued disabled passes as well as their car pass for preferential parking. Disabled spectators with special requirements are asked to call the Ticket Office to discuss their needs on 01784 221090 and our team will be able to organise the best viewing of the game to suit your individual needs.
